Criminal Intent Music Video Awards
If you're a fan of Criminal Intent Music Vids (that'd probably be the only reason you'd be reading this!) then you should check out
The Criminal Intent Music Video Awards.
I know very little about them, except what I read on the web. I don't know when the nominations are finished or if there is voting, but there is a contact email.
Some very sweet person(s) nominated my vids!!
It's nice to have a selection of videos all listed by category with direct links to the vids.
Sit back and get your daily mini dose of Goren and Eames et al.
Happy viewing!

Nicole or not?
Well, this has been bugging me for a while and I know others have had the same doubts...... Was it really Olivia d'Abo in the first few Nicole clips in Frame? After making this mini-vid, I'm not even sure. I thought it would dispell my doubts!
What do you think? I just don't think the nose is right....
The first two clips are the ones in question. The rest of them are all Olivia d'Abo, the last two were from Person of Interest, Season 2, where I knew I could get good profiles.

Criminal Intent - Perfect (Music Vid)
Perfect was originally added to YouTube on December 16, 2008 and had 833 viewings before it was blocked on March 5, 2009. This vid now is hosted on Imeem. There are 5 amazing pages of discussion on the Criminal-Intent.us forum generated by this vid!
Please feel free to leave your comments about the video here (I can't rescue the YouTube ones) - I never know when I might have to move it again!!
(if you receive this via email subscription, you may wish to click on the title above to take you directly to the blog page for viewing the vid)

"What did Clarence Darrow say? The first half of our lives are ruined by our parents and the second by our children." ~Ron Carver
"Only if you let them." ~Robert Goren
Bad fathers, father figures and the ramifications of being brought up by a bad father are explored here. In spite of his background, Robert Goren is a kind and compassionate man who, in his heart, wants to be better than perfect. His suffering is poignant when he falls short....
This is for Susan, who has patiently waited many months as this vid incubated. You encouraged the idea and immediately supplied me with a list of bad parent episodes (lots!) as well as excellent suggestions! A very recent change in music had the whole project fall into place. I hope I've done the subject justice. Merry Christmas! and I hope you dont need too many Puffs Plus!
As always, thanks to Magra for teaching by example and encouraging me to experiment with the technical aspects of video-making. The cry "I need an effect!" rings out in cyberspace! Its a matter of poking the right keys at the right time, isn't it?
And thanks to the intelligent, eloquent and passionate members of the criminal-intent.us forum for allowing me to share in analysing Criminal Intent from so many fascinating angles. You will not need the above explanation to "get it" if I did my job as I hoped.
No copyright infringement intended, just sharing fun!

Perfect - Simple Plan
Hey dad look at me
Think back and talk to me
Did I grow up according to plan?
And do you think I'm wasting my time
Doing things I wanna do?
But it hurts when you disapprove all along
And now I try hard to make it
I just want to make you proud
I'm never gonna be good enough for you
I can't pretend that I'm all right
And you can't change me
'Cuz we lost it all
Nothing lasts forever
I'm sorry
I can't be perfect
Now it's just too late and
We can't go back
I'm sorry
I can't be perfect
I try not to think
About the pain I feel inside
Did you know you used to be my hero?
All the days you spent with me
Now seem so far away
And it feels like you don't care anymore
And now I try hard to make it
I just want to make you proud
I'm never gonna be good enough for you
I can't stand another fight
And nothing's alright
'Cuz we lost it all
Nothing lasts forever
I'm sorry
I can't be perfect
Now it's just too late and we can't go back
I'm sorry
I can't be perfect
Nothing's gonna change the things that you said
Nothing's gonna make this right again
Please don't turn your back
I can't believe it's hard just to talk to you
But you don't understand
'Cuz we lost it all
Nothing lasts forever
I'm sorry
I can't be perfect
Now it's just too late and
We can't go back
I'm sorry
I can't be perfect

No Nicole Policy
As time went on and vids were created, I realized that I never added Nicole Wallace to my vids. There is a reason. I can't stand her!!! lol!
Here is my No Nicole Policy.
It was time to move it from my YouTube Channel, but it was too funny to have disappear, so:
NO NICOLE POLICY
Every effort will be made to insure
NICOLE WALLACE WILL NOT BE REPRODUCED IN ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM ON ANY VIDEO PRODUCED BY QUIETFIRE.
Application of Policy Standards
Quietfire will apply practice standards and guidelines regarding the aforementioned policy. This is to protect Quietfire from compromising her integrity and/or endangering the publics safety.
Violations
Violations may include, but are not limited to any act regarding Nicole Wallace that:
Exposes Quietfire to ridicule by her peers, friends and/or family
Results in public embarrassment to Quietfire
Results in the breach of Quietfires integrity, fidelity, or bravery (aka FBI) during the course of her work.
Disciplinary Actions
Violation of these policy standards may result in immediate disciplinary actions that may include
Formal reprimand*
Suspension or restricted access to Law and Order Criminal Intent**
Termination
Expulsion
Civil prosecution
Federal prosecution
International prosecution
Friendly persecution (and I do mean persecution!)
*from conscientious CI friends
**Nicole-containing episodes
Assistance
Any inquiries relating to this policy or application of this policy should be referred to World Information Services for a Clean Environment
References

.Thanks to Susan for making this look so official!!!!
If you carefully watch my vids you need to get a life.... er, no, I mean you might have noticed that I broke my policy for the Sober vid. Well, blame it on Frank! I have now sobered up and am back on the No Nicole wagon!

Criminal Intent - Save You (Music Vid)
CI - Save You from CI Musings on Vimeo.
This vid is not available on YouTube and Imeem is no longer showing personal videos, so thank goodness there is still Vimeo - I knew there was a reason I started this blog...."I wish I could save you...
I won't give up till it's over....
I'll be there for you"
All these lyrics so aptly describe the Robert Goren we know.
This song coupled with this theme have been chewing away at my brain for months and it was finally time to get it out of my system.
This amazing song is by the Canadian group Simple Plan (they also wrote Perfect) and there is a huge story behind it. You can read it on their site here. You must see it. All proceeds from each downloaded sale will be distributed to cancer charities around the world, through the Simple Plan Foundation. You will recognize some of the faces in their video, but Canadians will particularly recognize Belinda Stronach (former Member of Parliament), Mark Dailey (broadcaster) and Rene Angelil (Celine Dion's husband).
I was going to say these guys don't write love stories, but they do. The ones I have used for my videos are just not the obvious angsty boy/girl kind.
Thanks to Susan for reminding me about a few of the episodes that hadn't occurred to me!
I own nothing but the lettering at the end of the intro.
Simple Plan - Save You
Take a breath I pull myself together
Just another step until I reach the door
You'll never know the way it tears me up inside to see you
Ooh Ooh
I wish that I could tell you something
Ooh Ooh
To take it all away
Sometimes I wish I could save you
And there's so many things that I want you to know
I won't give up til it's over
If it takes you forever I want you to know
When I hear your voice it's drowning in the whispers
You're just skin and bones
There's nothing left to take and no matter what I do
I can't make you feel better
Ooh Ooh
If only I could find the answer
Ooh Ooh
To help me understand
Sometimes I wish I could save you
And there's so many things that I want you to know
I won't give up til it's over
If it takes you forever I want you to know that
If you fall, stumble down
I'll pick you up off the ground
If you lose faith in you
I'll give you strength to pull through
Tell me you won't give up
Cause I'll be waiting if you fall you know
I'll be there for you
Ooh Ooh
If only I could find the answer
Ooh Ooh
To take it all away
Sometimes I wish I could save you
And there's so many things that I want you to know
I won't give up til it's over

Ross and Goren - Never a dull moment
I was watching Masquerade this afternoon in search of a clip (Susan, I found it!) and, as often, became totally immersed in the episode. Then the friggin' power went off.... I digress.
Every time I watch an episode I see something new. Today I was watching Masquerade in hi def on a big flat screen. Let me tell you, there is *nothing* like watching this *big* and *clear*..... Ooops, sorry, there I go again....
As you know Ross and Goren have a pretty touchy relationship - not that kind of touchy! I go through phases of trying to like Ross, but it's epis like this that give Goren 2 points to Ross' single point.
There are three clips here.
The first clip shows Ross and Goren having a go at it outside the elevators (what is it with those elevators? - it's the hot spot for emotional events, usually Goren and Eames). The two men obviously have working styles that are at opposite ends of the pole. For a change Eames wasn't shaking her head at the end of their encounter.
The second clip is Ross buying them 24 hours from the ADA to get more information about Fife, the strange man-child they picked up in Vietnam. Goren is impressed and pleased by Ross' assertion. (Watch Goren's face, not the ADA - sorry, I should have edited her out)
The third clip is just rude. Goren is talking and Ross opens his pop can in the middle of a sentence. Goren stops talking. Ross couldn't be less interested in what he has to say.
Okay, Ross is back in my bad book.

Bump/Touch List Update!
I had an email from Zeharaeden today about a bump/touch sighting - on the same day as I finally found the bump/touch I've been looking for! Both today's sightings are Eames touching him. Alex is on a roll in Season 7. Roflolol! I gotta get a life....
It's no wonder it took me so long to find the Smile touch. I am traumatized by the last scene in that episode and hardly watch it.... but I needed some clips from it for my next vid..... curious?
Thanks very much to Zeharaeden for pointing out the Smothered touch. Updates are in bold blue.
Suzanne and Magra’s Bump/Touch List
He touches her
on purpose:
Smothered - as they leave the mother’s building and he wants to talk to the doorman - nope, not a touch, just a hand gesture - But on second thought there might be a bump there!!
Yesterday – on the street - after they finish talking to Ricky’s old landlord and before they talk to his wife in the fur coat – he almost whacks her on the back!!!!
Maledictus – when they’re in Toronto doing an interview
Legion – out on the street in the snow
Blink – when he realizes they need to go see his father’s friend at the bar (they’re standing in the hallway) He reaches out and almost pulls her!!
Undaunted Mettle – in the architect’s office
Seizure – when he want her to look back and see Dr. Dwyer straightening the mess he’s made!
Pas de Deux – when he almost dances with her!
Pas de Deux – after she almost shoots Donny
Pas de Deux – in the observation room at 34:49 minutes. Carver & Deakins are there. Wow, he really missed her – he has to keep touching her to make sure she’s really back! It’s so fast, I wasn’t really sure he touched her until it was in Vegas and I could move frame by frame!
Mis-labelled – after they leave the room
Gone – as they leave the Maritime lawyer’s office – just before they talk to the secretary
Self Made
by mistake:
he bumped her in Amends as he goes into Ross’s office – right after he and Copa have their yelling match and just before the CoD’s reams him out. On my version, it’s at 15 minutes & 7 seconds!
In Blink – when they’re in the observation room at the end with Ken – just as Goren moves toward Ken to poke him in the chest. It’s very slight.
in Vacancy when they’re walking down the hall and she is telling him about her drunk aunt.
in Siren Call – their fingers touch as he drops the keys in her hand
in On Fire – as they’re leaving the home of Regina and her husband, Eames stops and notices the face mask.
in Vanishing Act – their fingers touch as she hands him coffee
She touches him:
on purpose:
Smothered (Thanks to Zeharaeden for this tip!) – after they're drinking coffee on the bench during surveillance, they run after and catch Dale Van Acker. Bobby pushes him up against the wall and Alex runs behind, bumps into him and puts her hand on his back.
Pas de Deux: When she want the bomb squad
Want: As she goes behind him as he searches in the freezer in the bodega
Amends: Touches his arm close to 20:35.
Smile: in Ross’ office when Eames receives the note that the young boy has died, she touches the back of her hand to his arm before she hands him the note.
Betrayed when they’re sitting together on the desk and she reads the report someone hands her. She touches the back of her hand to his chest while she’s reading.
by mistake:
The Enemy Within - she bumps his binder as they walk down the street with Carver
